Daily Events Calendar Guidelines

The Destination Gros Morne Events Calendar is a shared, visitor-facing tool that shows what’s happening, when and where, across the region. To keep the Calendar clear and concise, listings should reflect specific, scheduled experiences or events with defined times that guests can attend or book as presented.

Below is a set of guidelines which reflect a shared approach to ensure listings are accurate, easy to understand, and represent experiences guests can confidently attend

1) Calendar

A listing of time-specific, scheduled experiences or events that a visitor can reliably attend at a defined time and place.

2) Inclusion

To be listed, an item must:

  • Have a specific start time (e.g., 10:00 AM departure)
  • Be a single defined experience
  • Be bookable or attenable as listed.
  • Be operationally guaranteed.

3) Exclusions

  • Rentals (kayak, SUP, bike, etc.)
  • “Available all day” offerings
  • Generic services (e.g., “guided tours available”)
  • Placeholder listings for “potential” bookings

5) Consolidation

Bundle similar type activites/ events:

  • “Guided Coastal Tour (Kayak/Zodiac/SUP options) – 10:00 AM”
